Each week Macpac would send around 2 to 4 unique electronic digital mail marketing campaigns (EDMs), I had the responsibility of producing and managing these.

Project Overview

My involvement included:

  • liasing with the merchandising team to ensure correct products are chosen to advertise.
  • communicating across the marketing team to ensure messaging is consistent.
  • Work collaboratively with copywriters to create effective communication.
  • Work with photographers to ensure products well captured
  • Photoshop lifestyle imagery to ensure it is fit for purpose (eg extend a sky, remove clutter, or change a product colourway).
  • Animate content using photoshop.
  • Work with other Graphic Designers to evaluate briefs and outputs. 
  • Prepare artwork for Mailchimp campaigns

Implementation

Additionally, I investigated opportunities for improvement and implemented solutions, such as.

  • Introduced fit-for-purpose design software, increasing output.
  • Restructuring photography archives in order to reduce the time spent when searching for specific imagery. 
  • Change the proofing process in order to boost efficiency and decrease the chance of human error.
  • Review the EDM process and implemented a manager approved flow chart to ensure all stakeholders follow the same process. Creating an efficient system that can be used for training new staff.
