Daffodil Day Campaign
Cancer Society NZ
In 2016, we embarked on a transformative journey alongside the Cancer Society New Zealand. Our objective was to reinvigorate the Daffodil Day Campaign, infusing it with a sense of hope and purpose that would resonate deeply. Through a collaborative effort, we crafted a campaign that not only heightened awareness but also inspired the community to rally behind this noble cause. From the initial concepts to the final unveiling, I played a pivotal role in guiding the project, ensuring it aligned seamlessly with the Cancer Society’s mission. This portfolio serves as a testament to the incredible influence of design in shaping meaningful change. Join us on this journey, where creativity meets purpose, and discover how we leveraged design to make a lasting impact.

Project Overview
Our objective was to reinvigorate the Daffodil Day Campaign, infusing it with a sense of hope and purpose that would resonate deeply.
Design Process
Working closely with our team of designers, we devised three initial concepts. The selected idea, which I had the privilege to lead, formed the foundation for the project. We then initiated our photographer to capture the campaign’s essence.
Implementation
Our designs transcended traditional boundaries, making their way onto national newspapers, including the NZ Herald, Dominion Post, and more. We seamlessly integrated the campaign across a range of media, from print to online platforms.
Testimonial
I worked with Justin on our Daffodil Day campaign. Justin was easy to work with and quick to respond to our needs. He articulated exactly what I needed even when I wasn’t sure myself. Justin is a breeze to work with and made stressful situations better with his sense of humor. I would highly recommend working with Justin.
I worked with Justin where (at printing.com) he helped develop material for the Cancer Society, including our Annual Report and Daffodil Day. It was all always on-time and within budget, we were always very happy with his work. We used to get many compliments on it, thanks Justin.
